Our team’s goal is to strengthen the information available to the public concerning colonoscopy, a common medical procedure that many people will experience. It is important to have the patients’ perspective in developing this material.  Our research is guided by Patient and Professional Advisory Committees who provide valuable input on the information needs and preferences of patients having a colonoscopy. We carried out surveys with more than 1000 people just before they had a colonoscopy. More than 25 men and women participated in interviews about their experience in having a colonoscopy. We conducted focus groups with family physicians and medical specialists providing colonoscopy services to hear their perspectives. Members of the team surveyed the research on preparation for colonoscopy. We would like to thank all of those who participated in this activity with us.
